Enter the world of dental implants with the right steps: treatment planning and proper component selection. After this event participants will understand the risks and benefits of implant-supported single tooth replacement and implant-retained mandibular overdentures. The hands-on section will guide participants through various impression taking techniques (open- vs. closed-tray), abutment selection (stock vs. custom abutment), crown design selection (screw- vs. cement-retained), and converting a removable complete denture into an implant-retained mandibular overdenture.
Upon completion of this course, the participant will better understand:
• When and how to treatment plan dental implants for single edentulous spaces.
• How to choose prosthetic components and design the final restoration.
• How to improve the quality of life of edentulous patients with implant-retained overdentures.
• How to transform an existing complete denture into implant-retained overdenture.
